Vagrant Sex Offender Locked Up for Preying on Vulnerable Teen

Paul Collins, a homeless man with no fixed address, was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on Friday, March 21. He pleaded guilty to seven counts of sexual activity with a child.

The judge handed Collins a hefty sentence of five years and seven months behind bars. He was also slammed with a lifetime order to register as a sex offender.

Groomed and Assaulted Teen Over Several Days

Collins targeted a vulnerable teenage girl on the street, earning her trust before exploiting her. He plied her with alcohol and sexually assaulted her multiple times over several days in 2022.

Arrested After Police Find Teen in His Bedsit

Officers came to arrest Collins over an unrelated matter. During the raid, they found the teenage victim with him at his bedsit.

A few days after Collins was convicted of the separate offence, the victim bravely came forward to the police. She revealed the full extent of Collins’ horrific abuse, including rape and repeated assaults.

Justice has finally caught up with Collins, but the scars on the victim will last a lifetime.
