Shock in Chelmsford: Woman Found Dead, Man Arrested
Essex Police were called to a property on Rothmans Avenue, Chelmsford, just before 5:10am on Wednesday 26 April.
Officers discovered a woman in her 30s unresponsive inside the home. Paramedics battled to save her but sadly she was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Investigation Underway
Detective Inspector James Holmes from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate said:
“We are working to establish the circumstances leading up to the death of the woman. We have quickly made an arrest and will remain at the scene while we carry out investigative work.
“I appreciate this is unsettling for neighbours and the local community, but at this stage we believe no one else is involved.
“We urge anyone with information to come forward and help us with the investigation.”
