Four Men Nabbed After Weapon-Fuelled Street Brawl in Newark
Rapid Police Response in Lincoln Road Clash
Four men were arrested on Monday evening after a violent fight involving weapons erupted on Lincoln Road, Newark, just before 7.30pm. Police arrived swiftly, cuffing one suspect within five minutes of arriving at the chaotic scene.
Chase Ends with Three More Arrests
Officers spotted a white van speeding away from the scene and quickly stopped the vehicle. Three additional suspects were detained, bringing the total arrests to four.
- Three men aged 31, 37, and 48 arrested on suspicion of affray
- A 16-year-old boy arrested at the scene for the same offence
All remain in custody as police continue their investigation.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
Detective Constable Jon Evans of Nottinghamshire Police reassured the public: “We believe this to be an isolated incident with no wider risk to the community.”
“Thankfully no one was seriously injured, but we understand how concerning it was for local residents,” Evans said. “You may notice a visible police presence today, but this is purely for reassurance.”
“We urge anyone who witnessed the fight or has any information, CCTV, or footage to come forward.”
