80-Year-Old Woman Targeted in Shocking Daytime Bag Snatch
An 80-year-old woman was attacked on Brondesbury Road at 1.10pm on Sunday, 30 May. A man lunged at her shoulder bag, trying to snatch it.
She bravely held on, but the strap snapped. The thief made off with the handbag, fleeing towards Christchurch Avenue.
Getaway Car Waited with Accomplices
The suspect jumped into a blue car waiting nearby. Inside were two men and a teenage boy who helped the crook escape.
Police Release CCTV Images of Suspects Using Stolen Bank Cards
Detectives have now released images of three men – plus the teenage boy – caught on camera in two shops along Church Road, NW10.
These men used the victim’s stolen bank cards in the shops. The teen was spotted with them at both the robbery and the card fraud locations.
Detective Pleads for Public’s Help
Detective Constable Goran Divkovic said: “This was a cowardly crime against an innocent woman going about her day.
“She escaped serious injury, but the trauma runs deeper than losing cash or belongings – especially when those items have deep sentimental value.”
“I urge anyone who recognises these men to contact police immediately.”
