Man Dies After Late Night Brawl in Bournemouth
Tragedy hit Bournemouth on Monday night after a violent altercation left a 55-year-old man dead. Dorset Police were alerted at 8.20pm on 22 March 2021 following a sudden death at a Malvern Road address.
Fight Ends in Death
Police were told the trouble began around 6.30pm when two men got into a heated dispute. Moments later, one man fell seriously ill, prompting a call to the ambulance service. Sadly, the 55-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Man Arrested for Murder
A 56-year-old Bournemouth man was swiftly arrested on suspicion of murder. He is currently assisting Dorset Police with their enquiries.
Detective Inspector Simon Huxter of the Major Crime Investigation Team said: “We are investigating the full circumstances of the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained. The two men were known to each other and we are looking into exactly what happened.”
“I am appealing for any witnesses to the incident at around 6.30pm who have not yet spoken with officers to please come forward.”
