The London Ambulance Service raced to Plumstead Road at 9.30am today (October 23) after reports of a man in distress.

Speedy Response to Emergency

An ambulance crew, paramedics in rapid response cars, and an incident response officer were all scrambled immediately. They arrived at the scene within three minutes of the emergency call.

Tragic Death at the Scene

Despite their quick arrival and efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ambulance Service Confirms

“We were called at 9.30am today (23 October) to reports of a person unwell at the junction of Maxey Road and Plumstead Road, SE18. We sent resources, including an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer. Our first paramedics arrived on scene in less than three minutes. Very sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
