DJ Under Fire After Shocking Boxing Day Incident at Llanelli Club
A DJ has landed himself in hot water after posting a shocking video that shows him urinating on an elderly man. The disturbing clip, filmed at the Llanelli Tennis and Squash Club on Boxing Day, has sparked outrage across social media.
Video Shows DJ Urinating on Elderly Man at Urinals
40-year-old 1 Brookfield posted the video on Snapchat, which quickly spread on Facebook. The footage shows Mr Brookfield urinating on the elderly man while both stand at the urinals. The older gentleman mentions his serious health problems during the video, to which the DJ callously replies, “Sorry to hear that bud.”
Police Launch Investigation as DJ Issues Apology
Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed they are investigating an alleged assault linked to the video. A spokesperson said they have received reports and are looking into the incident at the Llanelli club.
Brookfield has since publicly apologised, admitting he was “absolutely paralytically drunk” and didn’t remember the incident until he viewed the footage. He said:
“I’m deeply sorry. It’s just something me and the boys do when we are drunk. I didn’t realise the nice gentleman next to me was going through health problems.”
He described his behaviour as “inexcusable” and called himself “disgusted.” He added,
“My hand on my heart, I was not aware of what the gentleman was saying to me. I was crying watching what I did.”
DJ’s Career Hits Trouble as Venues Cancel Gigs
Known on the Llanelli scene for 15 years, Brookfield was celebrating what was supposed to be his last night out before his partner’s early 2024 due date. After the video went viral, he moved to a nearby Wetherspoon pub where locals confronted him.
One venue, Stamps, has already cancelled his upcoming appearance. Despite this, Brookfield says his priority is apologising to the victim and his family. He promises to offer compensation for damaged clothing and hopes they can forgive him. He said:
“I feel so sorry for him and his family. If it was my grandfather or father, I would be horrified. I wish I could turn back the clock.”
