At 9.36pm, witnesses raised the alarm as dense smoke blew out from below a busy eatery. The ground floor houses a popular restaurant, while living quarters occupy the floors above.
Blaze prompts full-on emergency response
West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service confirmed: “Fire in basement of 4-storey building measuring 15m x 24m.”
Crews went all out, deploying 8 breathing apparatus sets, 4 hose reels, and a large water jet to tackle the intense blaze.
