Second Child Dies in Tragic East London House Fire
A second child has sadly died following a devastating blaze in East Ham, East London. The fire broke out on the ground and first floors of a terraced house on Napier Road just before 8:30am on Saturday.

Neighbours desperately tried to save the family, even throwing bricks to break windows and help the occupants escape the inferno.
Two Children Dead, Others in Serious Condition
London Fire Brigade Assistant Commissioner Patrick Goulbourne confirmed one child was pronounced dead at the scene. Overnight, a second child died in hospital. Two other children and two adults were also rushed to hospital, with some still in serious condition.
Family Tragedy Under Investigation
All six victims are believed to be from the same family. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said there is “no evidence to indicate suspicious circumstances.”
The London Fire Brigade sent 40 firefighters to battle the blaze. Authorities have yet to release the victims’ identities or ages as they continue locating and informing family members.
Detective Chief Inspector Jonathan Burks said, “I appreciate that local people will be shocked and saddened by this tragic event.” He added police will work alongside the fire brigade and local council to support the family and investigate the cause of the fire.
