Blaze Tears Through West London School – Huge Emergency Response Underway
Fire Erupts at Maida Vale School
A major fire has erupted at the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee School on Kennet Road, Maida Vale, sending emergency crews rushing to the scene. The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was alerted at 1:07 PM and dispatched eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters to tackle the blaze.
The fire has engulfed part of the school’s roof, prompting a large-scale response to contain it. Station Commander Hardeep Dale confirmed the school was evacuated safely before firefighters arrived. “We are working closely with partner agencies to support everyone affected by the incident,” he said.
Firefighters are battling the flames using two of the LFB’s 32-metre turntable ladders, spraying water from above to control the inferno.
Emergency Services Swarm the Scene
Paramedics and police units are also on site, aiding evacuation efforts and managing the chaos. One woman has been treated for injuries at the scene.
Roads around Kennet Road and across Maida Vale are closed, causing hefty traffic delays. Authorities have urged the public to steer clear and allow emergency teams to work unhindered.
