Pedestrian Hit by HGV in Croydon – Road Shut
Emergency services rushed to Lodge Road, Croydon, this afternoon after a pedestrian was hit by a heavy goods vehicle (HGV). The collision, reported just after 4.20pm on Tuesday, November 29th, has forced the road to close in both directions.
Major Rescue Effort Underway
Fire crews, Met Police officers, and paramedics from London Ambulance Service converged on the scene. A large blue sheet shields the injured pedestrian as emergency teams work to save them. The London Air Ambulance has also been called in with its specialist medical crew.
Met Police Launch Collision Investigation
The Met Police have opened an investigation into the incident. Eyewitnesses say the pedestrian was struck by the HGV around 4.20pm. Authorities remain tight-lipped but are working hard to manage the scene and clear the road.
