Blaze Erupts at Former Walkabout Pub in Southampton – Firefighters Race to Contain Flames

Hampshire Fire and Rescue crews are battling a fierce fire that erupted at the old Walkabout pub in Southampton. The nearby Dolphin Hotel is also caught within the danger zone on High Street as flames threaten to spread.

Four Fire Engines and Aerial Ladder Deployed

The fire broke out just after 9.30pm on Thursday night, prompting a swift response. Four fire appliances from across Southampton, plus an aerial ladder platform from St Mary’s, are currently tackling the blaze.

High Street Shut as Emergency Services Respond

Police have closed High Street in both directions to all traffic. This road closure is to allow firefighters unobstructed access to the scene as they strive to contain the fire and prevent further damage.
