Five men have been arrested after Metropolitan Police uncovered a cannabis operation during a raid in Hackney earlier today.
Officers executed an arrest attempt at a premises on Theydon Road, E5, at around 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 19. During the search, police discovered a quantity of cannabis resin along with equipment used to refine the drug into cannabis oil.

The five men, aged 32, 33, 35, 36, and 42, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs. All five suspects are currently being held in custody as the investigation continues.

Police have stated that the investigation is ongoing and that officers remain at the scene conducting further searches and collecting evidence.
The discovery has raised concerns about illegal drug operations within residential areas and the growing presence of unregulated cannabis production in London.

A local resident, who witnessed the police activity, said: “It was shocking to see so many officers outside. We had no idea anything like this was happening here.”
