Tragic Fire Claims Four Lives in London
A devastating house fire tore through a home in Tillett Close, Stonebridge, leaving four people dead, including a 43-year-old woman and three young boys, aged 15, 8, and 4. Emergency services rushed to the scene at 1:22 AM on Saturday, May 24, but sadly the victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency Response and Aftermath
The London Ambulance Service managed to hospitalise two others from the blaze, but their conditions remain unknown. Authorities have informed the victims’ next of kin. Police have expressed their deepest condolences to the grieving family at this unbearably tragic time.
Man Arrested as Investigation Continues
A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the fire and remains in police custody. The Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade are working together to uncover the cause of the blaze. Emergency crews remain on site as the investigation continues.
Superintendent Steve Allen of the Met’s local policing team said: “This is an extremely tragic incident and our thoughts are with everyone involved. We continue to work alongside the London Fire Brigade to determine how this fire started.”
