Blazing Start to the Day
A huge fire ripped through a garage on Hawe Farm Way, Herne Bay, this Wednesday morning, triggering an emergency scramble. Three fire engines and ambulance crews dashed to the scene after Kent Fire and Rescue Service got the call at 9:43am.
Crews from Canterbury and nearby areas arrived fast, tackling the blaze with high-pressure hose reels, main jets, and a cutting-edge compressed air foam system (CAFs). Firefighters donned breathing apparatus and swiftly contained the flames to just the garage.
One Hurt, Cause Unknown
One person needed urgent medical help and was handed over to South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb). Thankfully, no serious injuries have been reported, though their condition remains unknown.
The cause of the fire is still a mystery and fire officers are digging into the details with an ongoing investigation.
