Brutal Attack at Manchester Garage Leaves Man with Broken Hip and Jaw
At around 8:45pm last Saturday, a violent assault shook Manchester’s Esso KP Garage on Victoria Avenue. The victim was painting the disabled ramp when trouble erupted.
Youth Jumps Over Barrier, Attacks Man Over Wet Paint
A white male, about 19 or 20 years old, 5’10”, wearing a baseball cap under a hood and dark clothing, jumped over the barrier. He was driving a white or silver VW Polo or similar. The man stomped onto the wet paint and was confronted by the victim.
Instead of apologising, the attacker punched the victim in the face, knocking him unconscious. The victim suffered a broken hip and jaw in the brutal assault.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Police Constable Martin McGuffie said, “This is a serious assault. We want to hear from anyone who saw what happened.”
He added, “We are keen to speak to a woman named ‘Lynn’ who helped the victim before emergency services arrived. If that’s you, please get in touch.”
