Brazen Burglars Swipe Eight Ride-On Mowers in Hinton Ampner Raid!

Police are hunting thieves who smashed their way into George Cann Garden Machinery on Petersfield Road, Hinton Ampner, and made off with at least eight ride-on mowers. The raid happened sometime between 5.30pm on Friday, March 17, and 7.50am the next morning.

Thieves Cut Through Wall to Steal Mowers

The burglars cut a hole in the side of one of the units to break in. They needed at least two large vehicles to haul away the bulky mowers, indicating serious prep went into this heist.

Police Seek Witnesses and Tip-Offs

PC Lyn Owen said: “This wasn’t a smash-and-grab. The criminals clearly planned this carefully and used convoys of big vehicles to get the gear away. We want to hear from anyone who spotted anything suspicious or saw groups of large vehicles parked nearby.”

She added: “If anyone has been offered goods for sale that might have come from this burglary, please come forward.”
