Tragic Harley Crash Claims Young Dad’s Life on A684
Gregory Peter Newcombe, 26, has died in a fatal motorcycle accident on the A684 near Bedale. The accident happened around 2.40pm on Sunday, July 10, 2022.
Greg was riding his mustard-colored Harley Davidson from Bedale to Crakehall when he collided with a bronze five-door Ford Fiesta joining the road from Sinks Lane. The driver of the Fiesta is fully cooperating with the police investigation.
Family Mourns Beloved Son and Brother
“We are deeply saddened to announce Greg’s passing,” said his family. “He was a beloved son, brother, and friend to many. We thank the emergency services and kind passers-by who tried to help and stayed with him as he passed away. We are grateful for all the support and sympathy messages during this heartbreaking time.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
North Yorkshire Police urge anyone who witnessed the crash, has dash-cam footage, or saw either vehicle before the collision to come forward.
