Brutal Attack on Couple in Hednesford Sparks Police Hunt
West Midlands Police are scrambling for leads after a shocking assault on a couple in Hednesford. The violent attack took place just before 12:30am on Sunday, October 8, on Market Street.
Couple Ambushed Near Local Restaurant
The victims, both in their 50s, were walking home past the Jaipur restaurant when trouble struck. Two men jumped out of an Audi A4 and launched a vicious attack. The woman was punched in the face, and her partner stepped in to defend her—only to be hit over the head with what cops believe was a metal bar. The man’s injuries were so severe he needed 11 staples.
Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward
PC Lucy Baker condemned the savage assault:
“This was a particularly vicious attack, and we are keen to hear from anyone who can help us trace those responsible. If you have any information regarding this incident, please call 101.”
