Triple Stabbing Shakes Dagenham: Woman and Two Kids Attacked
A brutal stabbing on First Avenue, Dagenham, left a woman and two children injured on Friday evening, 25 October. Police rushed to the scene at 5:35pm after multiple injuries were reported. Emergency crews, including London Ambulance and Air Ambulance, scrambled to provide urgent aid.
Victims Hospitalised – Girl’s Condition Stable
- The victims: a woman believed to be in her 30s, an eight-year-old girl, and a two-year-old boy.
- All were found with stab wounds and taken to hospital for treatment.
- The eight-year-old girl’s injuries are not life-threatening.
- The condition of the woman and toddler remains unknown.
Man Arrested on Suspicion of Attempted Murder
A man was arrested at the scene, suspected of attempted murder. He was briefly hospitalised after feeling unwell but has since been discharged and is now in custody.
Detective Superintendent Lewis Basford, overseeing policing in Barking and Dagenham, said: “This was a truly shocking attack.” He thanked local residents for their patience and support during the emergency response.
Police Investigation Underway – No One Else Sought
DS Basford added: “At this early stage, we believe the victims and suspect knew each other. We are not looking for anyone else.”
A crime scene remains in place as officers carry out vital forensic work. Expect an increased police presence in the area over the coming days.
