12-Year-Old Boy Critical After Lightning Strike at School Football Tourney

A 12-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being hit by lightning during a school football tournament at The Sele School in Hertford on Monday afternoon.

Lightning Strikes Amid District Football Battles

The boy was taking part in a district football tournament when disaster struck. Emergency services rushed him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in cambridge/" title="Cambridge" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Cambridge, where he remains in critical condition.

A man in his 50s was also caught in the lightning strike. He was treated at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow and is receiving urgent care.
