Blaze Breaks Out at South London Prison

Firefighters are still battling a cell fire at HMYOI Feltham, a youth prison in South London.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

The London Fire Brigade was called to the prison just after 12:40pm on Sunday. Crews were dispatched after reports of a fire inside a cell.

Prison Staff Confirm Incident

“Fire crews and paramedics have been called to the prison due to a fire on one of the prison spurs,” a prison service source said.

It is believed that people were inside the cell when the fire broke out, though their condition remains unknown.

The Ministry of Justice has been contacted for comment.
