Stark horror in Maidstone children’s park as dad stabbed multiple times while watching toddler
Man stabbed in front of young child at play area
A young dad was rushed to hospital after being knifed multiple times at a children’s play area in Maidstone. The victim, in his twenties, was attacked Sunday evening while keeping an eye on his one-year-old at Parkwood Rec on Bicknor Road.
The shocking assault happened right outside Holy Trinity Primary School’s entrance, sparking a swift police lockdown of the area.
Massive emergency response including air ambulance
Officers, including armed units and police dogs, swarmed the scene around 10pm on May 22nd. The Kent, Sussex and Surrey air ambulance also landed on the park to treat and airlift the injured man to a nearby hospital.
Family members arrived shortly after and were seen speaking with officers at the tense scene.
Suspect on the run as manhunt launched
Police say the attacker lives locally. A large-scale manhunt is underway, and the area remains a sealed-off crime scene as investigations continue.
