BMW Driver Hits 116mph After Dodging Police at Tunbridge Wells
A 26-year-old man from Tonbridge was arrested after a high-speed police chase in Tunbridge Wells, reaching a terrifying 116mph.
Police Chase Turns Dangerous on A26 and A21
Officers spotted a black BMW in Broadwater Down around 4pm on Friday, 28 January 2022, and tried to pull it over. Instead, the driver sped off, ignoring red lights and even mounting the wrong side of the road.
The reckless driver forced two schoolgirls to sprint out of harm’s way and squeezed through tight gaps before hitting the A21 at breakneck speed.
Police Helicopter Helps End Chase in Paddock Wood
The police helicopter was scrambled to track the getaway car, which finally stopped on maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood. The driver was quickly arrested.
A search of the BMW uncovered a hammer, fueling suspicion further.
