Man Arrested After Elderly Pensioner Mugged and Assaulted in Southampton Home

A 30-year-old man has been arrested following a shocking robbery and assault on an elderly pensioner in Southampton.

Elderly Victim Attacked at Home

Police from Hampshire Constabulary responded to the incident on Golden Grove at around 9.50am on Saturday, 21 July. The pensioner was violently assaulted inside his own home, with a large sum of cash stolen during the brutal raid.

Suspect Arrested but Released Under Investigation

The Southampton man was taken into custody but has since been released while inquiries continue. The victim suffered bruising but thankfully survived the ordeal.

Police Appeal for Witnesses
