A 42-year-old man has been arrested by Sussex police following a string of attempted pharmacy robberies in Pevensey and Eastbourne. The knife-wielding suspect sparked fear across the local community as he targeted two well-known stores on the same day.

Pharmacies Targeted Amid Weekend Fear

The dramatic incidents unfolded on Saturday, 27 April, at Boots Pharmacy on Eastbourne Road, Pevensey, and Kamsons Pharmacy on Victoria Avenue, Eastbourne. Staff were reportedly threatened with a knife as the man tried to seize goods. Details of what was stolen remain unclear.

Police Step Up Patrols and Calls for Witnesses

Chief Inspector Andy Nicklin said: “Whilst we understand that incidents like this are traumatic for staff, we have made numerous visits to pharmacies in the area to provide additional crime prevention advice and reassurance. We have worked hard to quickly identify the suspect and promptly make an arrest.”
