A man has been arrested following a serious assault at the Foxhill motocross event in Upper Wanborough on Thursday evening (22 August). The incident, which occurred around 9:15 pm, left a man in his 30s with significant injuries and in a life-threatening condition.
Wiltshire Police responded to a call from the ambulance service, reporting the assault. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The suspect, also a man in his 30s, who is known to the victim, was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and is currently in custody for questioning.
A police cordon remains in place at the scene as investigations continue. Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to officers to come forward. Witnesses are asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting log 322 of 22 August.
