Arson Shakes Northfleet: Man Arrested After Blaze
Kent Police are hunting for answers after a suspected arson attack tore through a home in Northfleet.
Early Morning Blaze Sparks Evacuation
At 12.42am on Tuesday, March 31, emergency crews rushed to a fire at a property in Salem Place. Luckily, the residents were evacuated safely before Kent Fire and Rescue Service brought the flames under control.
No injuries have been reported.
Police Probe Deliberate Fire
Detectives believe the fire was started on purpose. Detective Sergeant Matthew Childs said: “We are reviewing all available evidence and have carried out house-to-house inquiries.”
He urged the public to come forward: “If anyone has information or footage from private CCTV or doorbell cameras, please contact us urgently.”
A man has already been arrested and is currently in police custody.
