Tragedy in Milton Keynes: Man and Child Seriously Injured in Police Incident

Disturbance Sparks Police Response

Police launched a serious investigation after a major incident in Two Mile Ash, Milton Keynes, early this morning. At around 9:40am on June 26, officers rushed to Denmead following reports of a violent disturbance.

Acting on witness information, a forced entry was made into a property within minutes of arrival.

Fatalities and Serious Injuries

Inside, officers found a man in his thirties who appeared deceased and a young child suffering serious injuries. Another man, in his twenties, was also present. Police say a Taser was deployed before shots were fired at this individual.

Despite immediate first aid and ambulance treatment, the man in his twenties was pronounced dead at the scene. The young child was taken to hospital in a serious condition, and their fate remains uncertain.

Investigation Underway

A mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), which has launched its own probe. Next of kin for both men have been informed.

A scene watch is currently in place around the property, expected to remain for several days.

Assistant Chief Constable Christian Bunt said, “What has happened this morning can only be described as absolutely tragic and will no doubt have an impact on the community. Our thoughts are with those affected.”

“Our Major Crime Unit is working closely with the IOPC to get to the bottom of this. No one else is currently being sought in connection with the incident.”
