Man in 50s Seriously Injured in Birmingham Hit-and-Run

A man in his fifties is fighting for his life after a hit-and-run on Boulton Middleway, Birmingham, earlier today.

Emergency services were called just after 5:30am on October 21 when the victim was found with life-threatening head injuries. Paramedics treated him at the scene before rushing him to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit is leading the probe. He said: “We believe the man was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop. We need anyone who saw what happened or who has CCTV or dash-cam footage to get in touch.”

The crash happened near Key Hill Circus — a busy spot. DS Hughes added: “Many cars passed through here shortly after the incident. We appeal to any drivers or passengers who might have crucial information to contact us.”

Addressing the culprit, DS Hughes said: “Now is the time to come forward. The victim’s family deserve answers.”
