Man Rescued from Water at Twelvetrees Crescent, Rushed to Hospital

Emergency services responded swiftly to an incident at Twelvetrees Crescent, East London, on Tuesday evening (September 3), after receiving reports of a man in the water.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) confirmed they were alerted to the situation at 7:37 PM and worked with other emergency responders to bring the man to safety. The operation, which involved fire crews from Poplar, Plaistow, East Greenwich, East Ham, and Bethnal Green, was concluded by 9:38 PM.

A spokesperson for the LFB said, “We were called to Twelvetrees Crescent to reports of a person in the water. Crews rescued one man who was later taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service (LAS).

The LAS provided further details, confirming that they received the call at 7:28 PM and dispatched a range of resources, including members of their Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), Tactical Response Unit, and an incident response officer. The first responders arrived within five minutes.

Our crews treated a man at the scene before rushing him to a London major trauma centre as a priority,” an LAS spokesperson said.

The man’s current condition has not yet been disclosed.
