Suspect Vehicle Stopped After Intense Pursuit
On Monday, September 5th at 9.51pm, specialist firearms officers chased a suspect vehicle through Lambeth. The dramatic pursuit ended in Kirkstall Gardens, Streatham Hill, where police forced the vehicle to stop using tactical contact.
Gun Fired, Man in 30s Injured
During the stop, a police officer discharged their firearm, injuring a male occupant of the suspect car in his 30s. The man suffered a gunshot wound and was treated at the scene by officers before emergency services arrived.
Ambulance and Air Ambulance Rush to Scene
Both the London Ambulance Service" target="_blank">London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance were called in response. The injured man was rushed to hospital, where he remains under medical care. Police are currently awaiting an update on his condition.
