Man Stabbed in Broad Daylight on Crystal Palace Road

A man has been stabbed multiple times in a busy area of Crystal Palace Road, with police launching an investigation into the incident. The attack occurred today (February 3) at 4:20 pm on Westow Hill, a busy street in southeast London.

Officers arrived at the scene to find a man with a stab wound to his arm and additional injuries to his torso. Emergency services quickly attended, and the man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

At present, no arrests have been made, and the Metropolitan Police are continuing their investigations.

The incident caused significant disruption in the area, with Westow Hill closed in both directions between Westow Street and Beardell Street. As a result, traffic in the surrounding streets has been heavily impacted, and the 322 bus route has been diverted to avoid the crime scene.

In a shocking image from the scene, a car can be seen within the cordoned-off area, with its window shattered and windscreen damaged, suggesting the vehicle may have been involved in the attack.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police commented: “Police were called at 4.20pm on Monday (February 3) to Westow Hill, SE19 following reports of a disturbance in the street. Officers arrived and located a man with a stab wound to his arm and injuries to his torso. He has been taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Officers remain at the scene, and enquiries are ongoing.”

The police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as their investigation continues. The busy street is expected to remain closed as authorities carry out their enquiries.
