Man Stabbed in Sparkbrook as Police Hunt Witnesses
Shock Stabbing in Birmingham
Police have launched a hunt for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Sparkbrook, Birmingham, on Monday evening. Officers were called just before 6pm to the junction of Grantham Road and Palmerston Road following reports of the attack.
Victim Taken to Hospital, Condition Stable
The injured man, whose identity remains unknown, was rushed to hospital. Police say his injuries are serious but not life-threatening or life-changing.
“We were called to reports of a stabbing in Sparkbrook just before 6pm yesterday. A man had reportedly been stabbed at the junction of Grantham Road and Palmerston Road. He was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life changing or life threatening,” said a West Midlands Police spokesperson.
Police Appeal for Eyewitnesses and Footage
A cordon was quickly set up at the scene as detectives began their inquiries. So far, no arrests have been made.
Police are urging anyone who saw the incident or has dashcam or doorbell footage to come forward immediately.
“We’re appealing for anyone who saw what happened, or who may have dashcam or doorbell footage from around the time of the incident, to get in touch,” they added.
