Man Stabbed on Southampton Estate as Police Make Two Arrests
A man was seriously stabbed on a Southampton housing estate yesterday evening, sparking a swift police response and two arrests.
Stabbing Shocks Derby Road Community
Police were called to Derby Road at 7:19pm on Tuesday 24 April following reports of a stabbing. Officers found a 25-year-old man with serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital, but fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.
Two Men Arrested at Scene
Responding officers quickly detained two men, aged 29 and 42, both from Southampton. They remain in custody as inquiries continue.
Community Members Tried to Stop Attack
Eyewitnesses from the local community reportedly intervened to halt the assault and provided vital information to police. More officers will be patrolling the area today to reassure residents and hunt for further leads.
