An 18-year-old man has been charged with the murder of John Cavanagh following a shocking assault in Uxbridge.

Jimmy McDonagh Arrested After Deadly Attack

Jimmy McDonagh, from Dawley Avenue, Hayes, was charged with the murder of John Cavanagh on Friday, March 8. Cavanagh tragically died after suffering a fatal head injury in an assault on Dawley Avenue.

Police arrested McDonagh on Tuesday, March 5, in Derbyshire’s Ilkestone area after an extensive investigation.

Remanded Until Old Bailey Hearing

McDonagh appeared in custody at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, March 9. He has been remanded ahead of his next hearing at the Old Bailey, set for Tuesday, March 12.

Family Mourns as Police Appeal for Information

John Cavanagh’s family are devastated and receiving ongoing support from specialist officers. A post-mortem confirmed the cause of death was a head injury sustained during the assault on March 4.
