Man Fatally Stabbed in Wembley – Murder Probe Underway
A brutal stabbing in Wembley has turned deadly, with police launching a murder investigation after a 38-year-old man was fatally wounded.
Stabbing at Monks Park Sparks Urgent Response
At around 6.10pm on Tuesday, August 19, emergency services were called to Monks Park, Wembley following reports of a stabbing. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene where the victim was found with serious stab injuries.
Despite paramedics’ frantic efforts, the 38-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
Two Arrested in Connection With Murder
- In the early hours of Wednesday, a 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
- A 31-year-old woman was also arrested at the scene on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and is currently detained.
Police Urge Public for Help
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller, leading the probe, said: “Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family and friends at this hugely difficult time.
We have made quick progress with two arrests, but detectives are working fast to piece together exactly what happened.
We urge anyone with information to come forward. Residents may see more officers in the area as we continue the investigation.
