Murder Probe Launched After Man Found Dead on Platt Lane
A murder investigation is underway after the body of 64-year-old Fintan McDwyer was found yesterday morning on Platt Lane.
Emergency Services Respond to Fatal Assault
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 8:50 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 2024. On arrival, Fintan McDwyer was pronounced dead. Early inquiries suggest he suffered serious, fatal injuries to his face and neck from a sharp instrument during a violent assault inside the property.
Detectives Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Gina Brennand, leading the Major Incident Team, said: “While the investigation is still in its early stages, we are diligently piecing together a timeline of events leading up to Fintan’s tragic death. Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.”
