Tragedy in Ilford: Double Murder Investigation Launched After Knife Attack

Knife Attack Leaves Two Young Children Dead

Police are probing a double murder after a horrific knife incident in Ilford. At around 5.30pm on Sunday, 26 April, emergency services were called to a residential address on Aldborough Road North following reports that a man and two children had been injured.

Despite the rapid response from officers, the Ambulance Service, and London’s Air Ambulance, a one-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene. A three-year-old boy, rushed to hospital, sadly also died from his injuries.

Man Injured, Condition Unknown

A 40-year-old man was also hospitalised with knife wounds. His condition is currently unknown. Police say all involved parties are believed to be known to each other, ruling out any public threat at this stage.

Homicide Detectives Take Over Investigation

Homicide detectives from Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation. They are not seeking anyone else in connection with the attack.
