Man Dies After Brutal Stabbing Outside Popular Essex Pub

Tragedy Strikes Outside Rose and Crown, Writtle

Police are probing a shocking stabbing incident that left one man dead outside the Rose and Crown pub in Writtle on Friday night. Officers rushed to the scene at 8pm after reports that two men had been attacked.

One Dead, One Seriously Injured

Emergency services arrived quickly, but sadly one of the men died at the scene. The second victim was taken to hospital with stab wounds. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

Four Arrested in Murder Inquiry

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are now in custody for questioning. The police have sealed off the area to carry out forensic investigations and have closed the road in the immediate vicinity.

Police Appeal for Witnesses
