The Metropolitan Police have launched a murder investigation following a fatal stabbing in broad daylight outside W12 Hairdressers, located not far from Wormwood Scrubs Prison. The incident took place early on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were called to the scene. Despite the best efforts of both the police and paramedics, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A source for the Major Crime Directorate from the Metropolitan Police confirmed that the investigation is now underway. Officers remain at the location, with a large crime scene cordon still in place.
A yellow and white forensic tent has been erected, and a significant area, including the nearby Wine and Food Shop and W12 Hairdressers, remains secured.
Local residents expressed their shock at the incident, noting the unusual occurrence of such violence in the area. One witness described seeing a heavy police presence and the rapid arrival of emergency services.
