Elderly Man Found Dead in Kensington – Murder Probe Underway

Detectives in Kensington have launched a murder investigation after a 78-year-old man was found dead at a property on Longridge Road.

Tragic Scene on Longridge Road

Police were called to the scene on Sunday, 17 March at 3.15pm following reports of a disturbance. Officers found the elderly victim and immediately started CPR until paramedics arrived. Despite their efforts, the man died at the scene.

Formal identification is pending, and a post-mortem will determine the cause of death.

Suspect Arrested, Police Seek No Others

A 33-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remains in custody as the investigation continues.

“While our investigation remains ongoing, we are not seeking anyone else at this time,” said Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, who leads the inquiry.

DCI Lee extended her condolences to the victim’s family and friends, expressing sympathy for their tragic loss.
