Murder Probe Launched After Woman Found Dead in Bournemouth
Detectives have opened a murder investigation after a woman’s body was discovered in Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon. A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shocking death.
Tragic Discovery at Harley Gardens
At around 2.40pm on 2 October 2016, officers responded to a call at an address in Harley Gardens. They found a woman believed to be in her 20s with serious injuries. Despite efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
Man Arrested as Police Launch Hunt
Armed police, backed by the NPAS helicopter, scoured the area. By 3.20pm, a 26-year-old local man was spotted and arrested at Hengistbury Head on suspicion of murder. He is currently helping police with their enquiries.
Crime Scene Locked Down
Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) have cordoned off the Harley Gardens property. Crime scene investigators are combing the area for evidence. Detective Inspector Mark Samuel said: “Following the discovery of a woman’s body today, we are treating this as a suspicious death and a murder investigation is underway.”
