Manhunt Underway After Moped-Runner Stabs Restaurant Owner to Death
A major police manhunt is underway after a brutal stabbing outside Rincon Costeno restaurant in front of hundreds of shocked onlookers.
The victim, 23-year-old Migo “Ian” KuKu, was attacked by a tall man riding a moped on Tuesday evening, sparking a fast response from the Met’s murder squad.
Stabbing Sparks Emergency Response
Police were called to Hampton Street, SE1, at 7:46pm on 14 December following reports of the stabbing.
Officers arrived alongside London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance medics. Sadly, despite desperate efforts, Migo was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed as detectives launch a full investigation.
Tributes Pour In for Hard-Working Restaurateur
Friends have paid heartbreaking tributes to Migo, describing him as “like a brother” and “my right-hand man.”
“He lost his friend the same way when he was just 18,” one friend said. “For him to lose his life like this is mental. His parents gave him the restaurant to help keep him on track, and he was working really hard to make a go of it.”
