Officers from Greater Manchester Polices Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after the rider of a motorbike was fatally injured in a collision outside a pub in Leigh in the early hours of Saturday

Officers were called at around 1.50am on Saturday 19 March to a report of a collision involving a motorbike and a wall on Chapel Street – outside Monty’s pub. The rider of the motorbike – a 19-year-old man – died at the scene despite the best efforts of emergency services. No arrests have been made and initial enquiries suggest no other vehicles were involved. However, investigators are keen for any witnesses or anyone who may have recorded dashcam footage in the area in the early hours of today to contact them with any information they may have.
