NHS Worker Brutally Kicked Unconscious in Face Mask Row on North London Bus
The Met Police have released CCTV footage as they hunt a thug who left an NHS worker unconscious after a vicious attack over face masks on a north London bus.
Unprovoked Attack on NHS Trace Worker
The victim, a 63-year-old NHS track and trace employee, was savagely punched to the floor and stamped on five times during the brutal assault. The shocking attack happened on the Route 149 bus near Seven Sisters station on Sunday, 23 August, around 9:45pm.
The victim had boarded the bus and stood by the middle doors. Moments later, the suspect got on and, after a brief wait, followed the victim to the back doors. CCTV shows the attacker suddenly launching a violent onslaught with punches and kicks.
Face Mask Feud Sparks Brutality
“We believe this was all triggered by face masks,” said PC Bowman from the Roads and Transport Policing Command. “The attacker had his mask under his chin and took offence when the victim, who was fully masked, moved away from him.
“He then followed the victim to the back of the bus, pointed at his mask, and began the unprovoked assault. This was a totally unwarranted attack.”
