New Photos Released in Hunt for Adam Ellison’s Killer Two Years After Fatal Stabbing

The family of Adam Ellison have released fresh images of the 29-year-old just hours before he was fatally stabbed in Prescot, as they renew their desperate appeal for information in the tragic case.

Tragic Night of Violence in Prescot

Adam was walking with three friends near Market Place, Prescot, around 12:40am on November 4, 2017, when a heated argument broke out with a group on a motorbike. In the heat of the melee, Adam was stabbed in the neck with an unknown weapon and collapsed to the ground.

Witnesses and friends rushed to help, calling emergency services immediately. The attackers fled towards a nearby supermarket. Adam was rushed to hospital but sadly died just after 2am.

Police Still Hunt Adam’s Killers

Detective Chief Inspector John Middleton condemned the “senseless” attack that robbed Adam of a promising young life. “This assault ended a life brutally and abruptly,” he said.

Middleton confirmed the investigation remains active and vowed relentless pursuit of those responsible. “We urge anyone with information—no matter how small—to come forward. Identifying the motorbike group, spotting witnesses in Prescot town centre, or any leads will help us bring justice,” he added.

Community Urged to Help Bring Justice

Middleton called on the public to stand united against violent crime. “These offenders don’t belong roaming Merseyside freely. If your loyalties have shifted or you know something, do the right thing—help us close this case,” he said.

Suspects Arrested But Released Under Investigation

In September 2019, two 17-year-old males and a 22-year-old man from nearby Huyton were arrested in connection with Adam’s murder. They have since been released under investigation, as the inquiry continues.
