Teen Arrested After Tilehurst Double Stabbing
Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy from Berkshire following a shocking double stabbing in Tilehurst on Saturday night. He is now in custody, suspected of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm.
Late Night Attack in Lucey Close
The attack happened around 11:30pm on September 12th at Lucey Close. Two 16-year-old boys were stabbed. One remains in hospital in serious but stable condition, while the other has been discharged.
Investigation Ongoing as Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Mike Hall, leading the investigation from Newbury police station, said:
“We remain in the early stages of this investigation but have now made one arrest. I would ask people not to speculate as to the circumstances. If you saw anything and haven’t spoken to us, please get in touch.”
DCI Hall thanked the local community for their support and urged the public not to share any images or footage on social media. Instead, he asked that any information be reported directly to the police.
