Police Hunt Burglary Suspect After Midnight Raid in Oxford
In the dead of night on Wednesday, July 8, a thief broke into a home on Bartlemas Road, Oxford, and snatched a Rolex watch and an iPhone from a sleeping victim.
Masked Burglar Strikes While Victim Sleeps
At around 12:30 am, a skinny, mixed-race man, about 5ft 11ins tall and in his late 20s to early 30s, entered the house through the front door. Wearing a hooded top and black metal-rimmed glasses, he made his way into the victim’s bedroom and stole valuables.
The intruder fled towards Morrell Avenue after being disturbed by another person in the house.
Police Issue E-Fit and Appeal for Help
PC Donal McGuckin, investigating at Oxford police station, said: “This was a distressing incident for the victim as someone was in their room, taking their items whilst they were asleep.”
He added, “If you recognise this man or have any information, please get in touch.”
