19-Year-Old Dies, Woman Seriously Ill

A 19-year-old man has died and a 22-year-old woman remains in a serious condition after reportedly taking MDMA at a drum and bass event in Leamington. The chilling incident unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, 1 February, at The Assembly on Spencer Street.

“Our thoughts are with the family of the teenager. We believe this pill may have caused a serious reaction or overdose. Anyone who has taken this drug should seek immediate medical advice.”

He added a warning to anyone with unused pills to dispose of them safely. “If you were at the event or know someone who took ‘Red Bull’, check on them and ensure they’re okay.”
